Jannes Wübbena has been awarded a PhD Fellowship of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes  for his dissertation project "Development of a single ion atomic clock utilising quantum logic". The fellowship will commence in October 2011 and run till October 2013 with a possible extension to January 2014.
